transavia.com makes network attractive for both leisure and business travellers

Schiphol, 9 September 2014

Today, Tuesday 9 September, transavia.com starts sales for its summer 2015 service. The summer schedule focuses on increasing frequencies to the most important city destinations so that at least six flights a week or even multiple flights a day will be carried out to these destinations. Our new network schedule provides more choice and flexibility for both leisure and business travellers.

Now, for example, two or even three flights a day will be made from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol to Alicante, Barcelona and Malaga. Extra flights will be added to the existing daily flights to Pisa and Naples. Since the scheduled service to Thessaloniki was such a favourite, flights to this destination will start as early as February and be increased to six times a week.
Flights to Berlin, an attractive destination for both leisure and business travellers, will now start departing from Rotterdam The Hague Airport with a frequency of six flights a week. Extra flights will be added to the daily flights from this same airport to Barcelona, Malaga and Faro. The frequency of flights to Budapest, Madrid and Vienna will increase to six times a week or daily.
Departing from Eindhoven Airport, transavia.com will add another three extra flights a week to Barcelona. The frequencies of flights to Copenhagen, Lisbon, Nice, Istanbul and Valencia will increase to six times a week or daily. Scheduled service to Athens will start in February.

Transavia.com decided to alter the focus towards a high frequency network from less bases to their city destinations.

Mattijs ten Brink, transavia.com’s Managing Director says: ‘By increasing our frequencies on scheduled services to city destinations, our network is responding not only to holiday and city travellers but also to business travellers. By increasing our daily flights to almost all scheduled service destinations, we are giving passengers more choice and flexibility and making our city product even more attractive. We ensure a perfect travel experience and an easy booking process that provides all the relevant information at the website: accessible to passengers at all times. Our personal touch comes from the friendly professional approach of our personnel. The prices remain highly competitive.’

With its new flight schedule, transavia.com is offering more than 100 destinations for direct booking and more than 145 routes from the Netherlands. Its range of choices means that transavia.com maintains its leading position as the holiday carrier in Europe. transavia.com’s summer schedule runs from 1 April to 2 November 2015. Because optimising the network is still in process, not all the routes for summer 2015 have been published as yet. The total capacity for scheduled services is expected to grow slightly. The flight schedule is available at www.transavia.com.
